thnx

Hi all!  Today I have a card made using FTL #201 from Clean & Simple Stamping:

ThnxwithTwine1

I cut out the thnx and heart with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and then glued the new Purple Passion Timeless Twine behind the openings.  Isn’t the color just so pretty?!

This is also for Fab 'n' Funky – no stamped images and Charisma Cardz – monochrome.  I hope you like it and TFL!

it’s Christmas

Hi all!  Today’s card was made using the Waltzingmouse sketch:

PlayfulPinwheels4

I used one of my fave new sets, Playful Pinwheels, and papers from MME Lost & Found Christmas paper pad.  I stamped the little pinwheel on 2 different papers and pieced them together.  Then I stamped the frame from Very Vintage Labels No. 18 onto a sheet of Night Before Christmas text paper and die cut it out.  I stamped the stick for the pinwheel and then attached the pinwheel with a brad that I airbrushed green to match.

The sentiment is from the Frame-It set and was die cut with a Stampin’ Up! die.  The star button is from a·muse|studio and is tied with twine from Papertrey Ink.  Finally, I stitched around the base paper with 2 strands of embroidery floss in a matching green.  This is also for the Belli Challenge – Christmas.  I hope you like it and TFL!

hey there

Hi all!  Today’s card was made using the Sugar Bowl sketch:

UpUp&Away1

I stamped Up Up and Away and colored her with Copics.  The dress and balloon were paper pieced and the sentiment is from the Sentiment Sampler set.  I hand dyed the seam binding to match and the papers are from Bella Blvd.

This is also for Simon Says Stamp – Anything Goes, C.R.A.F.T. Challenge – use stitching, and Little Red Wagon - use chevrons. I hope you like it and TFL!

Celebrate Birthday Princess

Hi all!  Today I have a card made using the MFT WSC sketch (I flipped it so it's the mirror image):

BirthdayPrincess1

I used the PI Birthday Princess set (which includes this and other sentiments) as well as the smallest flower from the Plentiful Petals die set.  The papers are from the MME Follow Your Heart – Be Happy paper pad and the twine is from the Twinery.  She was colored with Copics and her crown and dress were paper pieced.

This is also for Crafty Creations – Buttons and Loves Rubberstamps - Paper piecing. I hope you like it and TFL!

You blow me away

Hi all!  I have another pinwheel card for you today:

PlayfulPinwheels3

Once again, I used the Playful Pinwheels set and a sketch from Waltzingmouse.  The patterned papers are from the Kaiser Craft Fine & Sunny paper pad.  I finished the card off with some stitching, white twill, and a button tied with some pink Timeless Twine.  The sentiment is from the same set and looks a little smudgy because the paper is plastic coated over the clouds so it made it hard for the ink to take.

This is also for Kaboodle Doodles – What’s In (I used a pinwheel and there are banners on my patterned paper).  I hope you like it and TFL!

P.S. Yes, it spins!

hello

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge – to be inspired by this picture:

July

I was inspired by the circles on top of stems, the long skinny rectangles and the colors.  Here’s what I came up with:

SpringGroves1

I stamped the trees from Spring Groves and colored with colored pencils.  I added a sentiment from Word Salad and finished it off with some white crochet thread tied in a bow.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Stamp-a-faire Projects

Hi all!  Papertrey Ink put on the most amazing “summer camp” of stamping online and I just had to play along!  Both of these cards were made using Homemade Embellishments.  The first uses homemade washi tape ( tutorial by Danielle Flanders) and a homemade flower embellishment (tutorial by Dawn McVey):

MegaMixedMessages2

The sentiment is from the Mega Mixed Messages set and the kraft cardstock and buttons for both projects are also from PTI.

This next card uses the homemade badge that I made into a label shape instead of a circle (tutorial by Heather Nichols):

MixedMessages1

This time I used the original sized Mixed Messages set for the tiny little sentiment tag.  This card is also for Crazy 4 Challenges – stitching.  I hope you like them and TFL!

Toast Feltie

Hi all!  Today I have a card featuring a feltie I made:

WakeUp1a

Hahaha!  So punny!   I used the Wake Up set from Paper Smooches and a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I stamped the toast outline on each color of felt then cut out the lighter one right outside the lines, and then with a slight margin on the darker piece.  I then stamped the face on the lighter piece and then stitched the 2 of them together with a single ply of embroidery floss.  Finally I added sticky back magnet to the back of the feltie and a little piece of magnet under the vanilla panel on the card so it would stick to the card.

WakeUp1b

You can see here that I also stamped the toast and face on the vanilla panel so that you’d still have a complete card even if the magnet is removed.

This is also for ABC Challenge – use 2 of anything (I used 2 colors of felt), Do You Stack Up – food, and Stamptacular Sunday – use 2 or more dies (I used the oval, scalloped oval and rectangle).  I hope you like it and TFL!

Life is good

Hi all!  I have another pinwheel card for you today (and yes, they all turn!):

PlayfulPinwheels2

I cut 8 pinwheels from plain white cardstock with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and then stamped with the Playful Pinwheels set in 3 different colors and patterns.  I then poked holes through each one and stuck them to my card.  Finally, I added a little piece of silk ribbon to the center pinwheel and stamped the sentiment in white.

This is for Ribbon Carousel – color challenge, Stampin' for the Weekend – photo inspiration and CAS-ual Fridays – make a CAS card with a black base.  The sketch is from iSpy Sketches. I hope you like it and TFL!

Wryn Hello

Hi all!  Today I have a B&W card for you using Wryn for the first time:

WrynWhatchaDoing1

More specifically, she is Wryn - Whatcha Doin? and the sketch I used is from Simon Says Stamp.  Wryn was printed out on my Epson printer and colored with the W color family of Copics to match these papers from Basic Grey.  I hand dyed the seam binding and Black Timeless Twine with a little gray distress ink to match and added a sentiment banner using a banner from Bitty Banners and the hello from Word Salad

This is also for MarkerPOP – B&W or Sepia and Papertake Weekly – All Things Girlie.  I hope you like it and TFL!

You are my whirl!

Hahaha!  Another funny sentiment – just love these!  Today’s card was made using the Waltzingmouse Sketch:

PlayfulPinwheels1

The frame is from the Frame-It set and the pinwheel and sentiment are from the Playful Pinwheels set.  The pinwheel was stamped on 2 different patterned papers and pieced together (and yes, it does turn!), and is held on with a mini brad.  The swirl die is from Cheery Lynn Designs and all the papers are from the MME Lime Twist – Life of the Party paper pad.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge,  which is a cool colors challenge (sailboat color story):

PartyPosse2

All the images and the sentiment are from the Party Posse set from Paper Smooches.  The sketch is from Sweet Sunday.

The dinosaur and hat were paper pieced and I colored a bit on the dinosaur with copics.  The patterned papers are from the MME Be Amazing paper pad and I finished it off with some straight stitching and white twill. I hope you like it and TFL!

Happy Birthday

Hi all!  Today I have a card that I made for my cousin's daughter's birthday:

AirplaneGreetings2

I used the Airplane Greetings die and stamp set combo again (I just love this set – it’s so fun!) and figured out that a super long card (fits in a business size envelope) fits the airplane and banner perfectly!

The paper is from a 12x12 sheet called Happy Clouds from Bella Blvd, the kraft cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the pink cardstock is Bazzill.  The banner is held to the plane with a bit of pink Timeless Twine.

This is also for the One Stop Craft Challenge – Travel. I hope you like it and TFL!

CAS X3

Hi all!  I loved FTL 199 over at Clean & Simple Stamping so much that I made 3 cards with it!

The first (which fits in a business size envelope) uses the Plentiful Petals Die-namics from MFT and a sentiment from Paper Smooches’ Sentiment Sampler:

SentimentSampler2

The second card (which fits in a 6 3/4 envelope) uses an image and 3 sentiment stamps from the Party Posse set (I drew in the parentheses):

PartyPosse1

The third (which also fits in a 6 3/4 envelope) uses There She Goes’ HSH Holiday Additions.  The wreath itself is a 2 step image and then I paper pieced the bow on some Basic Grey patterned paper and glued it over the wreaths.   The sentiment is also from the same set:

HSHHolidayAdditions1

This last card is also for There She Goes – Christmas in July.  I hope you like them and TFL!

Ahoy There!

Hi all!  I have another card using the Whale of a Time clear stamp set:

WhaleOfATime2

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the colors (red, aqua and kraft) came from the TCP Tuesday challenge.

I stamped the whale on 2 different papers from the So Happy Together paper pad from Echo Park and cut out the whole whale from the aqua spotted paper, and just the hat from the red paper.  The waves were cut using the Wave die from The Cat’s Pajamas and the sentiment is from the same set.

This is also for the the ATS Wednesday challenge - anything goes. I hope you like it and TFL!

You’ve Got Mail

Hi all!  Today I’ve got a card for you using the MFT WSC Sketch:

HappyMail1

I  used the PI Happy Mail set and papers from the Carta Bella Beautiful Moments paper pad.  She was stamped on watercolor paper with Black Brilliance ink and partially watercolored with my Tombows, partially paper pieced (her dress), and partially colored with Copics.  Why is that?  Because I did some coloring on the dress paper with a Copic marker and then without thinking used Copics on her shoes to match.  When I realized what I did, it was too late to take it back, so I colored the heart and flag on the mailbox with the same Copics.  The great thing is that all these look fine together!!

I finished it off with a sentiment flag and a couple of buttons sewn on with baker’s twine.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Noel

Hi all!  I have a Christmas card for you today because I’m playing along with several challenges that have it as their theme:

Noel1

I cut the pieces with my Zing using Make-The-Cut. The snowflake is from the Alpine Snow SVG set from Lettering Delights and the text paper and button are from a·muse|studio. Finally, the Holly Berry twine is from Trendy Twine.

This is for the following challenges:
I hope you like it and TFL!

*Mwah*

Hi all!  Today’s card was made using the Bellariffic Friday sketch:

Mwahbella4

I used Mwahbella with Words.  She was colored with Copics and her shirt and bag were paper pieced.  The Prima hydrangea was airbrushed green to matched the striped patterned paper and I added a button, some twill and seam binding to finish it off. I hope you like it and TFL!

Thank You Kindly (again)

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge:

FancyPhrases4

I turned the sketch on its side and shortened it into a square to come up with this layout.  The frame is from Very Vintage Labels No. 2 and the sentiment and little swirls are from Fancy Phrases.  I finished the card off with some Prima flowers topped with buttons tied with rustic cream twine.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Just A Note

Hi all!  Today I have a card made using the Paper Smooches sketch:

SentimentSampler1

I used the Sentiment Sampler set and a music note that I cut from patterned paper and chipboard (!) using my Zing and Make-The-Cut.  I found a picture of a music note online and used MTC to pixel trace it to get this cool note.  I also cut the curved piece of patterned paper with my Zing using MTC so I could get the perfect shape.  I finished it off with some rustic twine and a button from Papertrey Ink.

This is  also for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations – use something bought in the last 2 months (I just got this patterned paper pad and stamp set this week) and Ribbon Carousel - Buttons and Bows. I hope you like it and TFL!

Sending Smiles

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the MFT Guest Designer contest using their sketch (which was turned on its side and elongated into a rectangle):

AirplaneGreetings1

I used the Airplane Greetings die and stamp set combo (isn’t it just too much fun?!).  The plane, propeller and wing were all die cut out of patterned paper and then I stamped the stripes onto the plane body.  I stamped the 2 different targets onto another piece of PP and punched out with circle punches.  I die cut the banner and stamped the sentiment and attached it to the plane with some rustic twine.

The PP is all from the My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart – Be Amazing paper pad.  I used Distress Inks to stamp and sponge on the edges of the papers.  The plane and banner were attached with foam boosters.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Sea You!

Hi all!  Today I have a shaped card using the sunglasses pattern for the TCP Tuesday Challenge:

WhaleOfATime1

My card is meant to look like a pair of sunglasses for sale.  I wanted them summery so I cut the sunglasses out of yellow cardstock using my Zing and the file which I imported into Make-The-Cut.  The waves were made using the Wave Cut Ups die from The Cat’s Pajamas and the sentiment is from the A Whale of a Time set.  The cloud paper is from a·muse|studio and I used some AB Swarovski crystals.  Finally, I added some Stickles to the waves and the tag is a Quickutz die.

This is also for Simon Says Stamp – Tag or ATC, ATS Wednesday challenge - anything goes, and Stampin' for the Weekend – Tags.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Is that a cupcake…

on your head?  is the name of this adorable image from Stamping Bella:

CupcakeOnHead3
The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the sentiment and matching die are from Stampin’ Up!  She was colored with Copics and the patterned paper pieces were cut out with my Zing using Make-The-Cut.  Have I mentioned lately how much I love MTC?  I added some silk ribbon from PTI and machine stitching to finish this off.

This is also for the There She Goes challenge – sewing, and MarkerPOP - fur/hair. I hope you like it and TFL!

Hi all! Today I have a card that was made for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes (using a stamp that’s carried in the ATS store):

BalloonLucy1
I used the Balloon Lucy digi stamp, which was printed on my Epson printer and watercolored with Tombows and a water brush.  Then I mounted her on the card with foam boosters.  The balloon was paper pieced and the sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

This is also for Papertake Weekly – Anything Goes (with optional highlight part of your card – I popped up Lucy) and Charisma Cardz - sketch. I hope you like it and TFL!

Belated Birthday Wishes

Hi all!  Today I have a Clean & Simple card for you using a sketch from iSpy Sketches:

FancyPhrases3a

The frame and sentiment are from the Fancy Phrases set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I used Make-The-Cut to create a foldable straight banner to perfectly fit the frame and then cut it out with my Zing.  Here’s an angled shot so you can see better how the banner folds:

FancyPhrases3b

This is also for CAS-ual Fridays – use text in your CAS design, and PaperPlay Challenges – Happy Birthday.  I hope you like it and TFL!  I also want to say a heartfelt thanks for all the super sweet comments left on my blog – I just love reading them all! :)

4th of July Cracker

Hi all!  Today I have a non-stamped non-card for the 4th of July:

I used the Cracker Favor Boxes file, cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut.  Then I used the shapes library in MTC to cut a bunch of stars and glued them to the cracker box.  I finished the box off with some Peppermint Stick and Blue Berry Trendy Twine. This is for the Trendy Twine July challenge - use the colors red, white and blue and matching Trendy Twine, and the Belli Challenge - anything but a card.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Just A Girl

Hi all! Today's card was made using the Sugar Bowl sketch:

JustAGirl5
I used the Just a Girl stamp from Sugar Nellie and 7 (yes, 7!!) different patterns of paper from the My Mind's Eye Everyday Flair paper pad. The Thanks die is from Quickutz and the Catalina Wreath die is from Memory Box.

This is also for Daring Cardmakers - use at least 6 different patterned papers, Stampin' for the Weekend - your style (my style is all over the place, but I almost always distress layers to make them stand out a little), and Fab 'n' Funky - Cute and Girly. I hope you like it and TFL!
