Hi all! It’s time for the new sketch and color challenges over at the Your Next Stamp Blog. Here’s our sketch for the next two weeks:
And here’s our color palette:
I went with the color palette and took a lot of inspiration from the picture as you can see here:
I used the Heart Ink Splatter with pink ink for the background, and then added in dots of red and yellow using just a bit of the stamp that I cut apart from the rest. Don’t be afraid to cut apart your stamps – they go right back together again and it doesn’t hurt them!
I cut the panel with the largest Stitched Rectangle die and stamped and embossed the Thank You from Whatnot Sentiments Set Five with silver. I’ll have a video on this card on the YNS Blog for the next Whatcha Watching? segment on Wednesday.
We hope you’ll play along with us. All the details can be found on the YNS Blog. TFL!
Hi all! Today I have 2 cards made using the Color Bursts again. Can you tell I’m sort of addicted to playing with these right now?
I used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and the red, orange, and yellow Color Bursts. The butterflies are from the Flutter of Butterflies – Lace die set and were cut from label (sticker) paper. The sentiment is from Friggin Fabulous from The Ton Stamps. And I made a video:
This is also for SSS Monday Challenge – Anything Goes. I hope you like it and TFL!
I used the Flutter of Butterflies – Solid and the Flutter of Butterflies – Lace. I sponged 3 Distress Inks on the solid version and topped it with the lace version in black, which had gold embossed edges. I cut all the pieces with various Blueprints dies and spattered a little gold Memories Mist over the card. Finally I added a sentiment from Sunflower Sweetheart.
Hi all! It’s time for new challenges over at Your Next Stamp. Here’s our color challenge:

And here’s my card using the sketch:
As you can see, I did the technique of stamping and coloring on black with colored pencils. If you’d like to see a video of the technique, I’ll have a video for you on Wednesday on the YNS Blog for Whatcha Watching Wednesday.
For this card, I stamped the lizard from Happy Dance on black Stampin’ Up! cardstock and colored with my Luminance pencils. I then used the MISTI to stamp in the black dots of his eyes and nose. Finally, he was cut out using the matching die set. The sentiments are also from the stamp set and were stamped with the help of MISTI.
We hope you’ll join in our challenges! All the info can be found on the YNS Blog. TFL!

Hi all and welcome to my stop on the July New Release Hop for Your Next Stamp! We have a whole bunch of new stamps and dies for you, including a few that I designed! Yay! If you’ve been following the stops, you should have arrived here from Holly’s Blog (links below), but if you just happened upon this post, why not go back to the start so you don’t miss a stop!
I’m really excited about this release (as I am with all releases) because we have so much awesome cuteness to share with you! Also, I’m extra excited because I have some products in this release that I designed!! For this release I designed the super fun Ninja Surprise stamp set and matching pop-up die set!! I also designed all of the scenery elements in the Ocean Scene die set, and then Karen added in the sea creatures.
I loved playing with these new releases, so let’s get to my projects!
First up, I have a card made with a really cool technique that I got from Lydia Fiedler – stamping and coloring with colored pencil on black paper:
I didn’t have the black pastel paper that Lydia used, so I made do with some Stampin’ Up! black cardstock. I stamped in white and then colored with my Luminance colored pencils. I’ll be doing a video soon on this technique! I used the bird and a sentiment from the new Celebrate in Color stamp set.
Isn’t that fun?! There’s a pop-up ninja on the inside! Here’s a video showing how I made the card:
And here’s THE LINK in case you can’t see the video player above.
As always, we’ll have a winner randomly drawn from all the comments on all the blogs in the hop to win a $20 YNS gift certificate! And there’s also a sale:
Now you’re headed to Sue’s Blog, but don’t forget to leave me a comment before you go! Happy hopping!
