Hi all! I’ve got a card made with the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch:
I used my new Mama Elephant sets Twinkle Towns and Jingle Greetings. I set up all 3 stamps on my MISTI, changing the position of the focal panel and using bumpers so the stamps could go off the edges of the panel. The panel was cut using the Stitched Rectangle die set from Your Next Stamp.
For the pine needles, I stamped in the lighter green dye ink first, then used a flat paintbrush to add a little of the darker green to the bottoms of the needles and stamped again with the MISTI. I added the sentiment in red and finished off with a bit of white glitter on the branches to look like snow.
This is also for SSS Monday Challenge – Throwback (I picked the Holiday Cards challenge) and SSS Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes. I hope you like it and TFL!
Oh, those pine boughs are fantastic! And I love that gorgeous sentiment, too! Wonderful take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great card! Love the gold sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWonderful take on the sketch--love that Mama Elephant sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is a really stunning card! I love how it has the traditional pine boughs, yet I've never seen pine boughs look so fabulous before! The subtle coloring of the light and darker shades of green is gorgeous and I love how you added the white glitter. These boughs are so realistic! I also really liked the position and design of the card itself. Love how the pine boughs frame the sentiment and how it all pops against the clean white background. This is so inspiring and I thoroughly enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
