Your Next Stamp Challenge #30

Your Next Stamp Challenge

Yay! I have another Your Next Stamp Challenge today! This time we are challenging you to CASE a DT member! If you're not familiar with the term "CASE", it can stand for a lot of different things, but I like Copy And Stamp Everything! Basically it's to take a project and create one of your own based in some way on that project.

Specifically we'd like for you to 1. Choose a YNS DT member, 2. Visit their blog, 3. Pick one of their creations (past or present) that inspires you, and 4. ...CASE it! You can either copy the chosen creation exactly or put your own spin on it, BUT we do need to be able to see that you have CASE'd a specific creation. Therefore, we are also asking that you post a picture of the original card/creation you CASE'd in your blog post together with your challenge entry (not forgetting to give credit to the original artist), so we can see your individual take on it!

What a fun challenge, huh?! And so perfect for somebody with a blog named My C.A.S.E. Studies, lol! I did a lot of searching before I found this awesome card from Linda that worked perfectly with the stamp set I wanted to use:

And here's my CASE of it:

ChristmasTreeBaubles1
You can see that I copied Linda's idea of using an ornament for the "O" in "joy" and I even used the same piece of patterned paper (Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses).

The ornament is from the fun Christmas Tree Baubles set - I even picked the one that looked most like Linda's with snowflakes on it! I stamped the ornament in white ink on Scarlet cardstock and cut it out. I Stickled all the snowflakes and added a tiny bow of hand dyed silk ribbon. The J and Y were cut with a Quickutz die.

The frame stamp is from Waltzingmouse Stamps (Very Vintage Labels No. 4) and I used a glue pen and ultra fine glitter to go around one of the lines of the image. I also used the sketch from Waltzingmouse.

Finally I punched both sides of a strip of white cardstock with a Martha border punch and added a bit of hand dyed seam binding.

This card is also for: We hope you'll play along with us! One lucky participant will be drawn at random to win $10 in YNS Stamp Bucks!! You don't have to use YNS images on your card, but if you do you'll get a double entry in the draw!

Also, the challenge hostess will choose her favorite card, and that winner will get the YNS Challenge "Top Pick" blinkie to proudly display on their blog PLUS $5 in YNS Stamp Bucks! You must use a YNS image to be eligible to be chosen for Top Pick.

Full details can be found at the YNS Challenge Blog. TFL!
