Season’s Greetings

SPARKS BADGE

Hi all!  Today I have a card for the last Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge which is a sketch:

OCT-2015

And here’s what I came up with:

PSSeasonsGreetings1

I used a few different Paper Smooches sets: Warm Hearts (trees),  Freezy Fellas (snowmen), Winter Groves (bird and present), and Swanky Snowdudes (sentiment).  To get the stitched grid, I first used the largest of the Stitched Rectangle die set, then added in the inner stitch lines with the Stitched Line Die.

All images were stamped in Sno Cone dye ink and watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I added in the eyes and mouths, legs on the bird, and arms on the snowmen with a brown Tombow brush marker.  I drew in ground lines with a Zig marker and covered them with white glitter.  Then I masked off the 2 small portions and applied glitter paste through a snow stencil for a sparkly snowfall.

This is also for Winter Wonderland Challenge – Anything Goes (Christmas cards only) and SSS Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes.  I hope you like it and TFL!

I Dig You (Dog)

Hi all!  Today I have a card for a few challenges:

NineLives1

I used the Nine Lives stamp set and matching dies.  I also used a die from the Spring/Summer Scene die set and a heart from Little B.  The “dog” (I put quotes around it because it’s technically a cat stamp) was colored with Polychromos colored pencils.  And of course, I used the MISTI to help stamp everything!

And here’s the video I made of the process:

And here’s THE LINK in case you can’t see the video.  Here are the template sheets that are used in the video.  Thanks again to Brigit for that tip!!

This is for the following challenges:

Pretty Darn Awesome

Hi all!  Here’s my card for today:

LovelyThoughts1

I just got my MISTI Stamping Tool and I have to say that it really is the Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented! Smile  I used it on this card to stamp the sentiment exactly where I wanted it on the card base and on the watercolored panel.  Then I mounted the watercolor panel on the card base with foam tape, and the sentiment lined up perfectly!

I used the Lovely Thoughts stamp set and the Roses dies from Paper Smooches.  And I filmed a video of the making of it:

This is for SSS Monday Challenge – Inky Background and the sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Wish Big

Hi all!  Today I have a card for a couple challenges:

I used the dinosaur from Party Posse and the Posse Icons dies from Paper Smooches.  I also used a square Nestabilities to do the window/partial die cutting technique with the dinosaur.  The dino was colored with Copics and I added some dots on his head with a Sharpie white paint pen.  The happy birthday is from Sentiment Sampler and the Wish BIG is from Birthday Sampler.  All the papers are from the Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray paper pad and the sequins are from Neat & Tangled.

This is for the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge – Anything Goes and Creative Card Crew – Birthday with a Sentiment.  I hope you like it and TFL!

World Card Making Day Winners Blog Hop!

Hi all!  I’m so thrilled to be participating in this World Card Making Day Winners Blog Hop!  If you’ve been following the links, you should have come here from Donna’s blog.  If you just happened upon my blog, please go back to the Paper Crafts blog for a full list of blogs on this fun hop!

Enough talk!  Here’s the card that won me a spot in the Love category:

WCMD Winner

I used the Paper Smooches set Bee Mine and a Stampers Anonymous Honeycomb stencil.   I sponged Wild Honey and Antique Linen Distress Inks through the stencil for the background.

Next I stamped the bees on white cardstock and vellum.  I colored the cardstock versions with Copics, then cut out both versions, leaving the wings off of the cardstock versions.  I glued the cardstock bodies over the vellum versions and attached them to the card base with foam tape, slightly overlapping their wings.  Finally I stamped the sentiments on the sides of the bees.

I wanted to share a little of my prize package with one of you, so here’s a pic of the goodies you could win from my blog:

Thanks for Everything

Hi all!  Today I have a card for several challenges:

IMG_2731

I used the Thanks word die and Many Thanks stamp set from Paper Smooches.  For the thanks, I cut it out of white cardstock 3 times and colored each with a rainbow of Copic markers (this was to make sure even the edges of the die cuts were colored).  Then I glued them together, coated them with Glossy Accents, and sprinkled a little ultra fine glitter over them.

This is for the following challenges:

I Smile…

Hi all!  Today I have a card for a couple challenges:

PartyPosse9

I used the Party Posse stamp set and Posse Icons dies, He Said, She Said for the thought bubble, and Quirky Animals Set Two for the sentiment.

I mirrored the hamster at the top by stamping on vellum and turning the vellum around.  I did some die cutting with a couple Blueprints dies and popped up the images with foam dots.

Peace On Earth

Hi all!  Today I have a little tag that can be used as a bookmark that I made for the A Day For Daisies challenge – Kraft and Tags:

LittleWinterFairy1

I used the ADFD image called Little Winter Fairy and a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  The image was printed directly on the kraft cardstock with my laser printer (manual feed and using the special exit out of the back of the printer) and colored with colored pencils.  Then I added a little Stickles on the wings.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Happy Christmas

Hi all!  I have a card for a couple challenges today:

ChillyChums1

I used the penguin from Chilly Chums, the hat from Chubby Chum Pals, and a sentiment from Joyful Greetings.  The penguin was stamped in Memento black ink then colored with Copics.  To give him a cleaner, blacker look, I overstamped him exactly with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I fussy cut out the Santa hat and adhered it with foam tape.  The whole penguin circle was also attached with foam tape.  Finally I added some large googly eyes for fun!

I stamped everything in black Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then I colored with copic markers and a white colored pencil.  The hat was stamped separately and fussy cut out.

You & Me Forever

Hi all!  I have another challenge card for you today.  This one is for Curtain Call – Smooch.

WeConnect3

I used the We Connect set and Distress Inks.  Stamped the sentiments in Versamark ink and embossed in white, then watercolored all over the panel with the Distress Inks.  I added more color in certain areas to give it interest.  Then I finished it off with some sequins and pearls.

You Are Awesome

Hi all!  As is the case most days, I have a card for a couple challenges:

Cuteasaurus1

The sketch is from Retro Sketches and this is also for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge – Anything Goes.

I used the Cuteasaurus set (which includes the sentiment) and matching die and also a word bubble from He Said She Said.  The dinosaur was stamped on patterned paper and die cut and stamped on white cardstock.  For the PP version, I colored just the body with Copics to match the PP and hand cut it out.  Then I colored just the plates on the back with some warm grays on the white diecut.  The word bubble was fussy cut by hand.

The fishtail banner was cut with the YNS Fishtail/Banner Die set and the square was cut with a Nestabilities die.  The detail on the square panel was made with the Square Enhancing Elements and I airbrushed some color for a background.

Hugs

Hi all!  I have another card using A Day For Daisies image because I wanted to play along with their challenge – Stripes:

FairyWish1

I used the image Fairy Wish (sorry I can’t link it because it’s not in the store) and the sketch from Sketch Saturday (which BTW is sponsored by ADFD this week).  I printed her on Georgia Pacific cardstock with my Epson printer and colored her with Copics.  I matched her striped stockings to the striped background paper and picked the rest of the colors from the stockings.  I added a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler and a couple of YNS Gumdrops (colored with Copics to match).  I hope you like it and TFL!

You Are So Nice

Hi all!  I have a card for a few challenges today:

HelloFairy1

I used the pretty Hello Fairy image from A Day For Daisies and a sentiment from Word Salad.  I printed the image on Georgia Pacific cardstock with my Epson printer and colored with all pink Copics (except for hair and skin).  I airbrushed the background just a little with the R81 Copic also so it wouldn’t be so stark white.

This is for:

I hope you like it and TFL!

Let’s Shell-Ebrate

Hi all!  Hope you’re all having a Happy Easter!  Today I have a card for several challenges:

PartyPosse8

I used Party Posse and the matching dies and a sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch.  The turtle was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It paper and colored with Copics.  I added a little detail with my new white Signo pen that I showed in one of my haul videos.  The background was cut with the Power Rays die and the little banner was cut with the Fishtail/Banner die set.

This is also for Stampin' for the Weekend – Favorite Stamp (this is probably one of my fave sets – I’ve used it a bunch of times!), Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge – Anything Goes, Time Out Challenges – birthday with a masculine twist, and Simon Says Stamp - Animal Antics.  I hope you like it and TFL!
