More Wreath Building

Hi all!  Today I have a card for several challenges:

WreathBuildingKit2

I used the Wreath Building Kit stamp set from TCP again, this time stamping the grapevine wreath in brown, then layering a leafy sprig and berries on top.  Finally I embossed the sentiment in detail white EP.  I cut the panel with a Stitched Square die.

This is for the following challenges:

I hope you like it and TFL!

Greetings

Hi all!  I have a card for a few challenges:

WreathBuildingKit1

I used a new set called Wreath Building Kit from The Cat’s Pajamas.  I used my MISTI to make sure the branch lined up correctly and then I stamped the berries in.  The sentiment and banner were embossed in gold and then cut out with my ScanNCut 2.  I cut out the kraft panel with the Stitched Square Die Set.

This is for the following challenges:

I hope you like it and TFL!

Naughty & Nice

Hi all!  I’m back after a week’s vacation in California with my family.  We had a blast!  Anyway, I have a card for The Cat's Pajamas – CASE one of the designer’s card shown on the blog.  I chose the one by Lori Tecler and came up with this:

RaisingCane2

I used the set Raising Cane from TCP.  I stamped the bunny with Memento ink using my MISTI and colored with Copics.  Then I overstamped with Versafine and the MISTI.  I then cut it out using my Scan N Cut 2 (I used the RGB recognition mode and it came out great).  I stamped the sentiment and colored in bits with a green Copic because I thought it needed a little something.  Finally I added a few sequins.

This is also for SSS Wednesday Challenge – Clean and Simple Christmas, and Crazy 4 Challenges – All Dressed Up (bunny dressed in Santa hat).  I hope you like it and TFL!

Smile

Hi all!  I have a card for a couple challenges today:

WhatABlast2

The bear with pinwheel is from the What A Blast stamp set and the sentiment is from Kick Some Grass.  I paper pieced the pinwheel and did a tiny bit of coloring with white and black Prismacolor colored pencils.

This is for the following challenges:

Old

Hi all!  Today I am honored to be a Guest Designer over at CASology!

Guest Designer Badge 2014

Here’s our Cue Card for this week:

Week 124 - Old

And here’s what I came up with:

ForgetAboutCake3

My Design Defined: using dies with stitching detail adds interest to a simple design.  The die I used is from MFT – Blueprints 15.  The image and sentiment came from the Forget About the Cake set from The Cat’s Pajamas.  I stamped them both with Versafine ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Please check out the CASology challenge for all the fabulous inspiration from the team!  TFL!

What A Blast!

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the TCP Tuesday challenge – paper piecing:

WhatABlast1

I paper pieced PJ the Bear with 2 different papers, the clouds with the same paper as PJ’s muzzle and tummy, and the pinwheel with 2 different papers.  I used a funky blue piece of paper for the sky and a green piece for the grass.  Finally I stamped the sentiment on the same light paper and punched it with a 1” circle punch to go with the background paper.

This is also for Simon Says Stamp – Animal Antics.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Naughty & Nice

Hi all!  I’m back with my second card for the TCP Tuesday challenge:

RaisingCane1

I know it’s a little early for Christmas cards, but I was flipping through my TCP stamps and came across this one that I haven’t used and the idea of putting him in front of a really tall tree popped into my head!  The set is called Raising Cane and just like all the bun sets, it’s totally adorable!!  I colored him with Copics, fussy cut him out and mounted him with foam tape.  The tree top was cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and a Lettering Delights file (sorry can’t remember which one!).  I added a chunk of brown cardstock for the trunk and a sentiment from the set.  Hope you like it and TFL!

Oh Chute!

Hi all!  Today I have an entry for the current TCP Tuesday challenge – create a long tall card.  I actually made 2 so I’ll share the other one tomorrow.  For now, here’s the one I created with the set Oh Chute!

OhChute1

As you can see, there’s a little space at the bottom where you can pull down on the card and the bunny “floats” down.  Here he is at the bottom:

OhChute1b

I used Make-The-Cut and my Zing to cut out that long skinny track that the bunny moves on and used a circle punch for the hole at the bottom.  The parachute was paper pieced and the bunny was colored a bit with Copics.  I hope you like it and I’ll see you back tomorrow (hopefully!) for my second long tall card!  TFL!

CS2 Bonus Day 1

Hi all!  I have another CAS card for you today.  This one was based on Kelly Rasmussen’s card (although I just used a piece of patterned paper for the inside instead of sponging a design).

KickSomeGrass1

I stamped a sentiment from Kick Some Grass around the cut out circle and sewed a strip on the side.  Finally I mounted this panel with foam tape.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Ahoy There!

Hi all!  I have another card using the Whale of a Time clear stamp set:

WhaleOfATime2

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the colors (red, aqua and kraft) came from the TCP Tuesday challenge.

I stamped the whale on 2 different papers from the So Happy Together paper pad from Echo Park and cut out the whole whale from the aqua spotted paper, and just the hat from the red paper.  The waves were cut using the Wave die from The Cat’s Pajamas and the sentiment is from the same set.

This is also for the the ATS Wednesday challenge - anything goes. I hope you like it and TFL!

Sea You!

Hi all!  Today I have a shaped card using the sunglasses pattern for the TCP Tuesday Challenge:

WhaleOfATime1

My card is meant to look like a pair of sunglasses for sale.  I wanted them summery so I cut the sunglasses out of yellow cardstock using my Zing and the file which I imported into Make-The-Cut.  The waves were made using the Wave Cut Ups die from The Cat’s Pajamas and the sentiment is from the A Whale of a Time set.  The cloud paper is from a·muse|studio and I used some AB Swarovski crystals.  Finally, I added some Stickles to the waves and the tag is a Quickutz die.

This is also for Simon Says Stamp – Tag or ATC, ATS Wednesday challenge - anything goes, and Stampin' for the Weekend – Tags.  I hope you like it and TFL!

More birthday bunny

I used my fave sentiment again on 2 cards today:

BirthdayBunny2
BirthdayBunny3
Both cards use the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches: the first was used as is, the second card turned it on its side and mirrored it to get this layout. I used 3 sets for these cards: Happy Birthday is from Birthday Bunny, the bottom sentiment is from Forget About the Cake and the frame and dashed line are from the Framed Greetings Die and Stamp set. I hope you like them and TFL!

You’re not getting older.

You're getting A LOT older. Bwaaaahaaahaaaahaaaa! I absolutely LOVE this sentiment - one of my faves EVER!

ForgetAboutCake2
The image was watercolored with my Tombows and the curved banner was cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut. The straight flag on the bottom was hand cut. Image and sentiments are all from the Forget About the Cake set and the sketch is from the TCP Tuesday Challenge.

Hey Honey!

Today's card was made using an old clear set from The Cat's Pajamas called Hearts and Flowers and is for their Valentine Blog Hop:

I colored the image with Copics and used a glitter pen on her wings. The sentiment is also from the same set.

The sketch is from Card Positioning Systems. I hope you like it and TFL!

Birthday Bunny

Today I have a card made for TCP Tuesday #179 - "Hype the Type" using FTL #160 from Clean & Simple Stamping stretched vertically to fit my idea:

BirthdayBunny1
I don't have any big sentiments from The Cat's Pajamas, so I got creative and combined 2 sentiments from 2 different sets, plus a frame, line and die from My Favorite Things to make my focal sentiment. The Happy Birthday and bunny are from the Birthday Bunny set, the other part of the sentiment is from Forget About the Cake and the rest of it is all from the Die-namics Framed Greetings Die and Stamp set.

Even though we were supposed to focus on the sentiment, I just had to add the adorable bunny in so I stamped him in the same shade of green as the background paper, cut him out and stuck him on. He's there, but doesn't draw too much attention away from the bright pink sentiment label.

The button is from SEI and the twine is Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

This is also for the ABC Challenge - A is for Anything Goes. I hope you like it and TFL!

Go Forth & Eat Cake!

Today I have a card made for TCP Tuesday - make a seam binding rose and put it on your project. Here's what I came up with:

ForgetAboutCake1
I used the adorable set Forget About the Cake and a sketch from Dutch Dare (turned from a square into a rectangle to fit my image).

I watercolored the image with my Tombows and hand dyed my own seam binding. After I made the rose, I stitched a pearl in the center to hopefully hold it together a little better!

This is also for The Pink Elephant and Cupcake Inspiration - both had inspiration pics with pink and green and the cuppy had roses on it too! I hope you like it and TFL!

Tombows used:
Plate and shadows: N95
Candle flames: 55
Candles and middle frosting layers: 158
Pink frosting and bunny nose: 703
Cake layers: 020

Cupcakes!

I have a whole bunch of cupcakes for you today:

CupcakeChain1
I converted the new EK Success Cupcake Chain punch into a Make The Cut file (I just LOVE this program!!) and cut out a chain of cupcakes from some brown Basic Grey Bittersweet paper. Then I created a solid layer and cut that out from pink patterned paper. I colored the bottom of the pink layer for the liner and left the top part as is. Finally I added some ultra fine glitter on all the tops, dots of red Stickles for the cherries, and a tiny bow of pink Timeless Twine.

The embossing folder is Cuttlebug and the sentiment is from the Forget About the Cake set from The Cat's Pajamas.

This is for the following challenges: I hope you like it and TFL!

***** And now, on to my cards! *****

I was so excited to use the Pets and Treats set because all the images are just too cute! For my first card, I used 2 of Fhiona's Favorite Treats and the included sentiment:

FhionasPets&Treats1
I've seen a number of people stamping on kraft and then coloring with Copics, and I really like the look so I had to try it. I stamped each image with white ink on kraft, then colored with Copics and cut out using my circle Nesties. I did some sewing, embossing and distressing, then added some ribbon to finish it off. The sketch is from Get Sketchy, turned on its side. Finished card size is 4" x 9".

For my second card, I used Fhiona's Pet Bird:

FhionasPets&Treats2a
I stamped it twice, colored with Copics, then cut out the bird and leaves from one to layer over the other. You can see the dimension better in this close shot:

FhionasPets&Treats2b
The sketch is from Truly Scrumptious and the sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas. Finished card size is 4.25" square. I hope you like them and TFL!

Pure Innocence Pile It On!

I have a Pile It On! card today and I'm sad to say it's my last one for my term as a DT member. I had a lot of fun and am so happy I got the chance to be on the DT - I am now a huge fan of combining challenges (and of challenges in general!) and I owe it to the PIO! gals Dalis and Vickilyn. Thanks so much for having me on the team!!

This week our challenge is to use anything digital and here's what I came up with:

PureInnocence8-1
I used this adorable winter image from Digi Stamp Characters by Heather Ellis (the Pure Innocence line). I printed her out and colored with Copics. I accented the snow with a little glitter and used some pretty Basic Grey papers from the Eskimo Kisses paper pad. The sentiment is from the Elegant Christmas set from The Cat's Pajamas.

Challenges: I hope you like it and that you'll play along with us! All the details can be found on the Pile It On! blog. TFL!

Your Next Stamp Challenge #2

Yay! It's time for the second Your Next Stamp Challenge! This week our challenge was set by Lana and it's to make a shaped card. I really wanted to use my new Fhiona and Friend Penguin set, so I got out my old Sizzix ornament die and came up with this card:

FhionaFriendPenguin1
I stamped the penguin once on white cardstock and once on the polka dot paper. Then I colored the white version with Copics and cut him out. He was popped up with foam boosters onto the polka dot version, which was cut out and layered onto the red scalloped circle.

I used the following Imaginisce papers: Sugar Sprinkles (polka dot), So Beary Merry (red scalloped circle), and Comfy Cozy (snowflake). I cut the top out of silver cardstock and added a bit of silver cord as a "hanger," then finished off the card with some hand stitching, ribbon and buttons. Lastly the sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas (Deck the Hall set).

We'd love to have you play along with us and we only have one rule for our challenges - you must use a Your Next Stamp image. If you don't have any yet, you can still play! The Halloween digis are available in the store and I can think of some great shaped cards that would go perfectly with them! For the full details about the challenge, please see the YNS Challenge blog. TFL and have a great day!
