November YNS New Release Hop!

Nov2015HopBadge

Hi all!  It’s time for another YNS New Release Hop!  If you’re following the linky, you should have arrived here from Kymona’s blog.  If you just happened upon my blog post, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Anita’s blog (linky at the bottom of this post) because there’s a lot of fabulous eye candy you won’t want to miss!

I’m so excited for this release – I love making holiday cards and this release is full of holiday fun!  One of my favorites is the adorable Merry Chris-Moose, but I’m also a big fan of Little Darling Winter because she reminds me of someone…. Winking smile

Anyway, that’s enough chatter.  Let’s get to my cards, shall we?

First up I have an A2 card using Waddles Food Truck Fun and Waddles Holiday Truck Fun:

WaddlesFoodTruckFun & Holidays1

I used the truck from the original Food Truck Fun and the matching die set.  Everything else is from the Holidays add-on set.  Everything was colored with Copics and I added a couple of the new Holly Jolly Sparkly Gumdrops to the tires.

I added a piece of white cardstock to the back of the food window because that would be the inside wall of the truck.  I did some layering with foam tape for fun.  Here’s a close shot so you can see it:

WaddlesFoodTruckFun & Holidays1b

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.  This is also for SSS Monday Challenge – Create something beginning with the letter N (my stamps and patterned paper are brand new).

For my second card, I used a cutting template to make a shadow card:

MerryChrisMoose1

I altered the 5x7 Snowman Shadow Box Card in Make-The-Cut by taking out the snowman so I could replace him with this super cute moose.  I also didn’t cut the back blue panel with the holes because I wanted to do the snow effect with modeling paste through a stencil instead.  I covered the extra snowflakes with matte multi medium and super fine glitter and covered the snowy hills with my homemade shredded Styrofoam.

I stamped the sentiment is Cobalt pigment ink and embossed with clear powder, assembled the card, and added some confetti snowflakes onto the front.  Oh, and the moose was colored with Copics and cut out with the matching die.  BTW, I cut all the card pieces with my ScanNCut2.

This is also for Virginia's View Challenge – All About Textures.

As always, we have a fabulous Hop prize – a $25 YNS Gift Certificate will go to one randomly drawn commenter from all the Hop blogs.

Nov2015SaleBadge

And of course we have a fantastic sale, too!  20% off your entire purchase!!

Now you’re off to Laura’s blog, but don’t forget to leave a comment before you go!  Happy hopping! ~Maureen

Rainbow Hello

Hi all!  Today I have a fun rainbow shaker card for the Virginia's View Challenge – Shaker Cards:

RainbowHelloShaker

I cut the hello with my Zing using Make The Cut software.  I used Fun Foam for the center and hand cut that with a craft knife.  Then I filled the shaker with a rainbow of sequins from Avery Elle and  a little glittery mix that I’ve had forever.  I hope you like it and TFL!

I’m so excited for this release!!  I designed the Spring/Summer Scene die set and I also designed an SVG matchbox that’s designed to go with the Key To My Heart die set!  I *love* hearts so this is a favorite release of mine.  I was thrilled to see the Heart Ink Splatter stamp – SO cute!!  Anyway, that’s enough talk, let’s get to my projects!

First up I have a little square card using the set Love & Smiles and its matching dies:

Love&Smiles1

I also used the tree trunk/branch and clouds from the Spring/Summer Scene dies.

Next up I have the Key To My Heart Matchbox:

KeyToMyHeartMatchbox1a

You actually insert the key into the keyhole and turn to pull out the matchbox drawer!  Here’s a pic of the drawer coming out:

KeyToMyHeartMatchbox1b

I used the Heart Ink Splatter stamp as well as the Love & Smiles set.  I’ve made a video about the matchbox:

And the SVG file is FREE with the purchase of the Key To My Heart die set If you have any problems with the file, please email me directly instead of leaving a comment.  Thank you.

As always, there is a hop prize to be won – one commenter will be drawn from all the comments on all the blogs in the hop to win a $20 Gift Certificate to YNS!!  So the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances of winning!

Penguin Joy

HI all!  Today I have a shaped card for you – yay!  I love shaped cards and they’re so easy to make with Make-The-Cut software and my Zing electronic cutter!!

ArcticPenguins2

I created the card base in MTC and then cut the kraft cardstock and striped patterned paper with my Zing.  I stamped the penguins and hats from Arctic Penguins, colored them with Copics, and cut them with the matching Creative Cuts.  I adhered the penguins and hats to the base and stamped the little lines next to the top right penguin (love those!!).

This is for the ME November Challenge – Holiday cards and tags.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Magic Inside

Hi all!  I have a card today made for the Little Tangles Shaped Card challenge:

SantasTags1

Even though I used the set Santa's Tags, this is not a Christmas card.  It just expresses how I feel about my morning coffee!  I went with the Starbucks colors of white, green and kraft – all cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and the Lettering Delights cut set Love You A Latte.  I stamped the sentiment and added some doodle lines with a matching pen.  Finally, I added some rustic twine from May Arts.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Giant Cupcake

Hi all!  Today I have a fun project for you – a giant cupcake box with topper:

JustForYou1

The challenge over at There She Goes is to make a cupcake topper and it has to be displayed with either a real or crafted cupcake – what fun!  I’m no baker so I decided to go with a crafted cupcake. I used the SVG file from the Happy Birthday To You kit and at full size, it turned out pretty big!  I used papers from my Gossamer Blue scrapbook kit for the cupcake and paper from the Hello, Again paper pad for the topper.  Here’s a closer look at the topper:

JustForYou1b

I used the Just For You and JFY - Halloween Additions sets from There She Goes and finished it off with a little orange twine from Timeless Twine.  I hope you like it and TFL!

Naughty & Nice

Hi all!  I’m back with my second card for the TCP Tuesday challenge:

RaisingCane1

I know it’s a little early for Christmas cards, but I was flipping through my TCP stamps and came across this one that I haven’t used and the idea of putting him in front of a really tall tree popped into my head!  The set is called Raising Cane and just like all the bun sets, it’s totally adorable!!  I colored him with Copics, fussy cut him out and mounted him with foam tape.  The tree top was cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and a Lettering Delights file (sorry can’t remember which one!).  I added a chunk of brown cardstock for the trunk and a sentiment from the set.  Hope you like it and TFL!

Oh Chute!

Hi all!  Today I have an entry for the current TCP Tuesday challenge – create a long tall card.  I actually made 2 so I’ll share the other one tomorrow.  For now, here’s the one I created with the set Oh Chute!

OhChute1

As you can see, there’s a little space at the bottom where you can pull down on the card and the bunny “floats” down.  Here he is at the bottom:

OhChute1b

I used Make-The-Cut and my Zing to cut out that long skinny track that the bunny moves on and used a circle punch for the hole at the bottom.  The parachute was paper pieced and the bunny was colored a bit with Copics.  I hope you like it and I’ll see you back tomorrow (hopefully!) for my second long tall card!  TFL!

Last Minute

Hi all!  I have a couple last minute challenge entries to share today.  The first is for

Feb2013N&T1

It’s for their Project Life Challenge.  I made a simple journaling card with some simple stories paper and a freebie N&T image that I printed onto PP, cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I finished off the card with a little flag onto which I hand stitched a heart.

Next I tried my hand at this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch:

CTS_Sketch_42

I came up with this:

LoveYou1

I used a Simon Says Stamp die cut (you) and hand stitched a heart.  Buuuuuuut, I didn’t feel like it really captured the sketch elements correctly, so I tried again and got this:

LoveYou2

Much better!  This time I stitched the heart right over and arrow I cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and added on the you in alpha stickers.  The gems finish it off and the whole PP panel is popped up on foam tape.  I hope you like them and TFL!

Thanks a Latte

Hi all!  This is a reminder that you still have 1 week to play in the current All That Scraps challenge – Shaped Cards.  Here’s what I came up with this week:

LatteMonkey2

I used the super adorable Latte Monkey stamp and the Love You a Latte cutting set from Lettering Delights.  The image was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and OMS and fussy cut out.  The card was cut with my Zing using Make-The-Cut.  The font is LD Little Piggy, the twine is from Papertrey Ink and the papers are from a My Mind’s Eye paper pad.

We hope you’ll play along!  Just remember that must use a C.C. Designs stamp, including - AmyR, Drozy's Darlings, Mashi's Muffins, Sweet November, Lil Lads & Lolitas & Webbie's Words.  TFL!

Happy Everything

Hi all!  It’s time for another Tasty Tuesday over at the YNS Blog.  Here’s our inspiration photo for this month:

TT005

I was inspired by the colors blue and pink, the clouds and the circles.  Here’s what I came up with:

HappyDaysSentiments3

I used the Happy Day Sentiment Set, the snowflake, sun and leaf dies from the Whatnot Die Set – Seasons and a flower die from the Spring Garden Die Set.  I cut the circles from the pink panel with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and finished the card off with some sewing and sequins.

We hope you’ll play along!  All the details can be found on the YNS Blog.  TFL!

MiasKite1

I used the new Mia's Kite and a cutting file that I created in Make-The-Cut.  The papers are MME and Mia was watercolored with Distress Inks and Inktense pencils.

We hope you’ll play along!  Just remember that you must use a C.C. Designs stamp, including - AmyR, Drozy's Darlings, Mashi's Muffins, Sweet November, Lil Lads & Lolitas & Webbie's Words.  TFL!

Happy Spring!

Hi all!  I have another Your Next Stamp Fun Friday post for you today.  Our theme this month is “Spring Fling” and here’s what I came up with:

SmileyHappyCrittersSetThree2

I used Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three and a sentiment that I generated and printed from Make-The-Cut.  The bunny was stamped with Versafine Black ink on watercolor paper and watercolored with my new Derwent Inktense pencils

I bought a set after being enabled by all the wonderful Inktense projects on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  I’ll do a separate post about them soon!

To finish off the card, I added a Spellbinders flower behind the main panel, some crazy stitching, and 2 8mm sequins with brads.  We hope you’ll play along!  All the details can be found at the YNS Blog.  TFL!

Easter K-Cup Covers

Hi all!  Today I have a couple cute little gifties in the form of decorated K-Cups that can be for Easter or anytime!  Here’s a shot of both of them together:

EasterGoodiesWhatnots1a

I used the new YNS Whatnots - Easter Goodies die set and a couple of computer generated sentiments.  The carrot was made in Make-The-Cut (it’s not just for cutting!) and the second was made with the Word Art function in Microsoft Word.  Here’s a better shot of the peeps rabbit (my absolute fave die in the set):

EasterGoodiesWhatnots1b

I just printed the sentiment out on a piece of patterned paper, punched it out with a 2” circle punch, added the bunny with some foam dots and a little jute twine bow to finish it off!  LOVE these and want to make a bunch of them for my favorite peeps!  I hope you like them too and TFL!

Ho Ho Ho

Hi all!  This is a reminder post that you still have a week left to enter the current All That Scraps Challenge, which is Anything Goes!  I made a fun shaped card (you know how I love those!) for my post this week:

NoPeeking2

I used the Santa image from the Meoples No Peeking digi set and a custom card file that I made using Make-The-Cut.  All the card pieces (except for the image) were cut with my Zing.

The Santa was colored with Copics and cut out leaving a thin white border.

We hope you’ll play along with us and remember to use a stamp that’s sold in the ATS Store!  TFL!

Let It Snow

Hi all!  I have a Fun Friday post for Your Next Stamp today.  Our theme this month is “Let it snow” and very appropriately I’ve used the Let It Snow stamp from the new Christmas Carol Circle Stamps set:

ChristmasCarolCircle2

I cut a snowflake from glitter paper using my Zing, Make-The-Cut and the Seasons Cut-It set from Lettering Delights.  Then I stamped the Let It Snow image and punched it out with a 1” circle punch.  I then tied the circle to the snowflake with a button and some silver cording.  This can be a package decoration or even an ornament or other home decoration.

This is also for Divas By Design - Anything Goes and Loves Rubberstamps - Bling.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to check out the YNS Blog for all the other Fun Friday projects!  TFL!

***And now on to the show***

For my first project, I made a little gift tag using the Believe in the Magic set.  Here’s the outside of the tag:

BelieveInTheMagic1a
And here’s the inside:

BelieveInTheMagic1b
I cut the tag with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and then used a stamp positioner to stamp the reindeer and sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink.  I finished it off with a little bit of Christmas Trendy Twine.

For my second project, I decorated K-Cups for gift giving or just to decorate for the holidays!

ChristmasCarolCircle1a
Did you know a K-Cup fits perfectly in a 3 oz. Dixie cup?  I just figured it out this weekend so I covered one with patterned paper and then decorated the tops of the cups with the same paper and the new Christmas Carol Circle Stamps set.  Here’s a better view of the tops:

ChristmasCarolCircle1b
A 2” circle fits the top of the cups perfectly and then I added the stamps (you can punch them out with 1 1/4” and 1” circle punches respectively) with matching scalloped circles of red cardstock.  I finished each off with a button tied with Christmas Trendy Twine.  The tops have a tiny bit of ATG tape to hold them to the cups so they’re easily removed for use.  I hope you like my projects!

Now it’s time to hop on over to Peggy’s amazing blog, but don’t forget to leave me a comment before you go so you can be in the running for a new release prize pack!  Happy Hopping!

What’s moo?

Hi all!  Today I have a reminder post that you still have a week to enter the current All That Scraps challenge – use the colors kraft, black, red and blue.  Here’s my card for this week:

Cow&Pig2

I used the adorable Cow & Pig set, which was colored with colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  Her dress was paper pieced with some of the same patterned cardstock that was used on the rest of the card (it’s from My Mind’s Eye).  I generated the frame and sentiment in Make-The-Cut and printed from MTC as well.

This is also for Dutch Dare – Sugar & Spice.

We hope you’ll play along – don’t forget to use a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store! TFL!

eek

Hi all!  Today I have a card made using the sketch from Retro Sketches:

Spookalicious3

The ghost and eek are from the Spookalicious set and the spider is part of the patterned paper that’s adhered to the back of the cut out.  I cut the windows using my Zing and Make-The-Cut and the wood grain embossing folder is from Stampin’ Up!

This is also for Going Grey – embossing.  I hope you like it and TFL!

What’s the buzz?

Hi all!  Today I have card made for a couple of challenges:

BeeHappy1

I used the Bee Happy set and papers from the MME The Sweetest Thing Bluebell paper pad.  I cut the hexagons with my Zing using Make-The-Cut and added a few buttons tied with Timeless Twine to finish it off.

This is for Little Red Wagon – use hexagons, and Simon Says Stamp – use neon, hexagons or chevrons.  I hope you like it and TFL!
