*****And now for my projects*****
First up I have a simple card using a few of the new releases:
I stamped (twice) and colored the squirrel from Piles of Smiles with Copics. I fussy cut around the whole image, and then cut again leaving out the tail. I layered the body on the base with foam tape. I cut a strip of Kraft cardstock and stamped in brown ink with the Woodgrain stamp. Then I layered a scalloped strip of orange cardstock underneath the woodgrain and adhered it to the white panel. I ran that whole panel through my diecut machine with one of the Stitching Holes dies and did a simple backstitch with some jute twine, leaving the ends a little long and tying knots to keep them from coming out.
Finally I cut a Stitched Fishtail Two tag, tied a little of the same jute twine at the top, and added the squirrel. The sentiment was stamped with Old Olive ink.
For my second card, I have a spinning turkey!
I used the Large Spinner/Slider Die set and the Gobble Gobble stamp set. And here’s a video introducing the dies and how I made the card:
You may have read that YNS is getting ready to launch a new website in October and discontinuing the Digital Stamps line. We'll also be retiring plenty of stamps so NOW is the time to stock up on your wishlists! Check out all the retiring stamps HERE.
