Booyah

Hi all!  Today I have a card made for the Lawnscaping Challenge – One Layer Card (which is just a card base with no additional layers of paper/cardstock and minimal embellies).  Here’s what I came up with:

Booyah1

First I used Make the Cut to create an A2 size rectangle with the word BOO cut out.  I blacked out the letters so they would be solid.  I cut it using my Scan N Cut, stuck down the letters on my card base, and sponged Black Soot Distress Ink around the letters.

Next, using the Booyah stamp set,  I stamped the hat/hair onto the card using my MISTI and masked them all off using reusable masks I previously made.  [I specifically call them reusable because they are covered in clear packing tape so I can wipe off any ink that gets on them.  This makes sure the ink doesn’t leak through the masks and I can keep using them until the stick on the back wears off.]  I then stamped the ghost bodies and colored them using Luminance colored pencils. Then I stamped their little faces.

Finally, I put it back in my MISTI to stamp the sentiment, which I embossed with clear embossing powder.  Here’s a start to finish video:

And here’s THE LINK in case you can’t see the video player above.  I hope you like it and TFL!

  1. Such a cute card, and I enjoyed seeing how you made it with the video tutorial. I am intrigued by the reusable masks you created and wonder if you have another video or tutorial that explains how you made those masks?
