MISTI Templates

Hi all!  A super generous and genius stamper named Cyndie emailed me about templates she had generated that could be used with the MISTI using my stamping with octagons technique (which also works with other shapes).  She agreed to let me share them with you, so I’ll have links to all the different versions at the end of this post.

I’ve made 3 videos about them.  The first video talks about what the templates are and how to prep them for use:

The second video uses the acetate templates to figure out what shapes and sizes you want to work with:

The third video shows the cardstock template in use:

And here is where you can download the different templates:

Square

Pentagon

Hexagon

Octagon

Note - please download to your computer before printing. I've heard that trying to print directly from DropBox may not work.

I hope these links, templates, and videos work for you.  If you have any problems or questions, please leave a comment here or on one of the videos.  Thanks and Happy Stamping!

  10. My MISTI arrived yesterday at noon and I just completed 25 cards for a swap I have coming up. I can't believe what I have done so far. Since I was on the waiting list for my MISTI, it gave me an opportunity to get all my supplies bought, cut etc. I have my templates made and contact on, my grids on transparencies, but I am having a difficult time finding the Eclipse Cutting Mat you keep talking about. I just watched your video for using die cuts, but I can't find the mats. My Question, I find Cricut and Silhouette mats in our stores around here, will they work? Thank you for all your wonderful information you are sharing, I so appreciate it so much. You are fantastic!!

    1. Hi Barb! You can use whatever sticky mat you like, however the stickiness varies between brands. I prefer the Eclips mats and get them from Joann.com when they have free shipping and a sale: http://www.joann.com/sizzix-eclips-cutting-mat-12inx12in-2pk-includes-metric-measurements/10770055.html
Or you can get them from Amazon: http://smile.amazon.com/Sizzix-eclips-Accessory-Cutting-Pack/dp/B0041V6JQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423185129&sr=8-1&keywords=eclips

  11. Just watched your awesome new video! And it reinforced my need for that sticky mat. Like Barb, I looked locally and couldn't find it, so I just now ordered it from Amazon--thanks for the link! I think it's the perfect accessory for my MISTI. You should be on Iliana's design team if she has one!

Thank You So Very Much for all of the helpful information, templates, videos and so much more on the Misti!
I was so stunned, when by chance, I viewed one of your Youtube video on the Misti, I quickly let my hubby know that this was what he was gifting me for Christmas. He, as quickly agreed, and I didn't wait until Christmas to open and just as quickly started using my Misti.
But...it would not have been half as much fun without you! Thank you for sharing your talent and hard work!

  68. OMG - these videos have been so helpful. I've used the octagon for just placing items - but your info on measuring for words was so informative. I downloaded all the shapes and plan on visiting Staples or Office Max or a store like that to see if they can print them on clear acetate for me. Also, I love the idea of your "glue page". I have a "glue box" that I use to put removable adhesive on red rubber stamps (non cling). Aha - I can now use those same glue boxes to hold cut-aparts in place for putting glue on them - never thought of that. I already have them Don't need to add anything else. thanks so much for your very very helpful ideas!
