My Tiny Friends

Today I have another Softpencil card for you because Softpencil is this week's sponsor at Pile It On! The challenge this week at PIO was to use at least 3 flowers and of course combine with at least one other challenge. Elizabeth was so generous to give us a wide array of images to choose from to do our DT samples and I chose one called My Tiny Friends. Here's what I came up with:

I printed the image on several different patterned papers and a few times on white cardstock. I cut out the entire girl and popped her up on foam tape. I paper pieced her dress and added an extra layer of her arms and legs, the sleeves of which were also paper pieced. The extra arm/leg layer was popped up with a couple layers of scrap cardstock. The little chicks were also popped up with scrap cardstock for just a little height. Lastly, I paper pieced the grass and sky.

Here you can see the dimension:

I used the following sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar:

It was perfect for the PIO challenge because it already had 3 flowers on it!

Other Challenges: I hope you like it and TFL!

Materials used: sentiment - Papertrey Ink (Mixed Messages set); patterned paper - Daisy Bucket Designs; flowers - Prima; border punch - EK Success; circle and petite scalloped circle Nestabilities; Copic markers; pearls - MimiLolo Etsy store; lace from stash.

  3. What an adorable and beautiful card! I love that you paper pieced it! One of the reason I haven't gone digital is because I couldn't do that. Or so I thought! Thanks for the great idea. Love the 3D effect!! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment today! :)
