I’ve been spending a LOT of time lately playing with embossing folders to get a faux letterpress look lately and I finally have a finished card to share with you:
To do the faux letterpress, I simply ink up one side of the embossing folder with a brayer and pigment ink refills, then run it through my machine OPEN with an embossing mat from Spellbinders. In this case, I inked up the side with more surface area using 2 purple A Muse ink refills.
Here’s a close shot so hopefully you can see some of the dimension from the debossing:
The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and I also used stamp sets from Avery Elle: Build A Banner and its matching dies and Petals and Stems for the sentiment. This is for the Avery Elle challenge – ombre/gradient. I hope you like it and TFL!
Ooh, this is so pretty! Thanks so much for linking this up to the AE Ombré challenge!
ReplyDeleteMaureen, this is gorgeous! The ombre effect is just dreamy! Thanks so much for playing along with the AE Ombre challenge!!
