Hi all! I have a card for a couple challenges today:
This is a digi image from Sweet Escape Digis called Happy Mail. I colored her with Copics and cut her out with a .04” shadow using my ScanNCut. She was popped up on foam tape and the sentiment is from Word Salad.
This is for MarkerPop – Anything Goes (and colored with markers) and SSS Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes. I hope you like it and TFL!
Hi all! I live in Hawaii, so to me it was a given that I would have to have Birdie Brown’s Polynesian Paradise. Here’s my first card made with this adorable set:
I am absolutely LOVING on this little guy! I’ve been playing with him for days and finally managed to get him on a card!
I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored just the body with Copics. Then I overstamped (using my MISTI) with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I stamped him again on MFT plaid paper with Onyx Black and cut out just the shell. I shaped the shell and attached it with a foam dot.
I stamped the sentiment (also from the set) using my MISTI and Onyx Black ink (had to stamp it twice to get it perfect) and then mounted the little guy over the sentiment with thin foam tape.
This is for CAS-ology – Plaid and MarkerPop – Anything Goes (colored with markers). I hope you like it and TFL!
Hi all! I’ve got a card for a few challenges today:
I used the gorgeous digi image Sunflower Power with its matching sentiment. I just opened up an A2 sized canvas in Photoshop Elements and put in the image off the side and the sentiment in the bottom corner. I saved as a JPG and printed out from Word.
I colored the sunflower with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and just a little water. It’s amazing how vibrant the colors came out! Finally, I shabbied up the panel by distressing the edges with scissors and sponging Distress Ink around the edges. I added a thin strip of lace to the back and called it a day.

Hi all! Today I have a Stampin’ Up! card to share with you:
I used the set Butterfly Basics, Vanilla cardstock and inks from SU! I stamped (with the help of my MISTI) the yellow airmail motif and the sentiment directly on the card base. Then I stamped the fern image on a separate piece of vanilla CS. Then I cut it out. NO, not by hand! With my new ScanNCut machine from Brother.
I got a great deal on it recently so I had to go for it! I’m planning on using it mainly for stamping images and then cutting them out – that means I don’t need to buy matching dies for all my stamps. Or in this case, there isn’t even a matching die! So far it’s working great and I’ll have more info about it in later blog posts and possibly even videos.
Hi all! It’s time for another monthly Feature Day over at the Your Next Stamp Blog. This month, in honor of YNS’s 6th birthday, our theme is Celebrate. Here’s what I came up with:

Hi all! It’s that time of month – the Your Next Stamp DT Dare! This month our Dare was to make a shaker card. Here’s what I came up with:
Instead of making a “traditional” shaker, I used the new 3x3 Envelope Die to make an envelope out of plastic to be my shaker element. The sentiment is from Balloon Buddies and I also used the Stitched Square Die Set.
Here’s a video on the making of the card:

Hi all! Tomorrow is the August New Release Hop so today I have a sneak peek for you:
I made a 3x3 mini card with a matching envelope using all new products being released tomorrow! I did some simple sponging with Distress Inks to accent the white embossed sentiment and the white die cuts.
You can check out all the designers who have a peek for you today over at the YNS Blog. I hope you’ll be back tomorrow for the New Release Hop! TFL!
Hi all! It’s time for new challenges over at the Your Next Stamp blog. For the next two weeks we have this color challenge:
And here’s our sketch:
I went with the sketch and here’s what I came up with:
I stamped a frog from the Sticky Note stamp set, embossed with detail clear embossing powder, and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Next I cut him out with the matching die. The different green panels were cut with the Stitched Rectangle Die Set and the sentiment was stamped and embossed with detail white EP.
I made a video of the process:

We hope you’ll play along with our challenges. All the details can be found on the YNS Blog. TFL!
